Currently Indium recycling is being done on target scraps and scraps that are attached to champers generated in the manufacturing process. As mentioned above, recovery of indium from waste LCDs such as LCD televisions has not yet been business-based, but it is still under consideration.

The Mitsubishi Materials Group recycles tungsten from cemented carbide tools at AKITA WORKS of JAPAN NEW METALS CO., LTD. The specific department set at Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, which is a comprehensive manufacturer of cemented carbide, is in charge of recovery of cemented carbide tools.
