Ｓｅｍｉｎａｒ ｉｎ the Philippines ｉｎ May ２００6 "The Application of Industrial Waste Treatment Technologies : The Japanese Experienced"
APEC VC Japan organized a seminar on May 3and May
5, respectively in Manila and Cebu in cooperation
with Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI),
Department of Science and Technology (DOST) managing
Virtual Center Philippines. In compliance with a request
from VC Philippines, holding a seminar in Cebu, the
second largest city in the Philippines, was realized,
as a part of awareness campaign to the environment.
Cebu, enjoying its status as a city of international
tourism, is facing a serious problem on wastes.
As shown in this seminar theme, Japan having an experience of successfully dealing with serious environmental problems is requested to make use of technologies and know-how accumulated by Japan. From this point of view, we decided this seminar's theme in accordance with a request from VC Philippines.
